HAZARDOUS MATERIALS STORAGE TANKS REGULATORY PROGRAM
INTERDIVISIONAL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TANKS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) PROGRAM
Staff collect HHW at six regionally located recycling / HHW facilities and transport the HHW back to the HHW hub at the landfill, where it is sorted and packed for disposal by our HHW vendor.
SMALL QUANTITY GENERATOR PROGRAM
Staff inspect and educate businesses concerning the proper recycling and disposal of their hazardous waste and report the data in a statewide database.
SLUDGE TRUCK INSPECTION PROGRAM
Sludges generated at our wastewater plants are transported out of the county for disposal. To ensure no discharges occur during transport, the trucks are inspected monthly for proper operation (including containment equipment).
