Brett D. Smith, PE is a licensed oil/fuel storage tank inspector and tank failure specialist, who has been inspecting oil/fuel storage facilities (regulated by the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure or SPCC Rule or 40CFR112) since 2003. Mr. Smith maintains his certification as a Steel Tank Institute certified SP001 Tank Inspector and maintains his multi-State registrations as a Professional Engineer. He prepares facility-specific SPCC Plans for clients who include Petroleum Marketers (Jobbers), Electric Utilities (incl. hydroelectric dams), Recyclers, Canneries and other SPCC-regulated facilities. To help clients comply with 40CFR112.8(c)6), Mr. Smith inspects and certifies aboveground oil/fuel storage tanks and to help clients comply with 40CFR112.7(f), he provides a customized 8-hr SPCC Training Workshop for Facility Owners, Ops Managers and oil-handling personnel.
