Marshall Mott-Smith

Marshall Mott-Smith is the President of The Mott-Smith Consulting Group and the Vice President of The National Institute for Storage Tank Management. He has worked with storage tank systems since 1983, and was the Florida DEP Storage Tank Regulation Section Administrator from 1986-2008. He was instrumental in developing Florida's Compliance Verification Program, writing Florida’s rules for secondary containment, bringing flex-pipe problems into public view, and establishing Florida’s Leak Autopsy Studies.
He is an international expert in Aboveground and Underground Storage Tank Systems. He has testified before four Congressional Committees, given thousands of presentations, and has written numerous articles for national and international publications. Marshall Mott-Smith is on the UL 971 and 1856 Reference Standard Committees, and is an STI SP-001 Certified AST Inspector.
